Ananda Charitable Trust

Ananda, a non-profit, non-goverment and non-religious organisation, aims to spread “happiness” and “bliss” by means of improving people’s social, mental and physical well-being. This organisation is one of the new partners of Seva Mandir, supporting us in the Balwadi Programme from 2010 onwards.

 

Arghyam

Arghyam is an Indian public charitable foundation setup with an endowment from Rohini Nilekani. With the vision of “safe, sustainable water for all,” the Foundation has been working in the water and sanitation sector since 2005. Seva Mandir has recently formed a partnership with Arghyan Foundation in 2010.

 

Asha for Education

Asha for Education is a secular organisation dedicated to change in India by focusing on basic education in the belief that education is a critical requisite for socio-economic change.

Partners since 2007, Asha support our education programmes in Badgaon block of Udaipur.

 

Barclays Capital

Investing in the community is an important part of Barclays Capital’s global citizenship strategy. In addition to donating funds to charities, Barclays Capital encourages employee volunteering (skills-related volunteering, in particular) globally. Barclays Capital has been supporting Seasonal Residential Learning Camps of Seva Mandir since 2009.

 

Canada India Village Aid Association (CIVA)

Canada India Village Aid (CIVA) is an independent non-profit charitable society based in Vancouver, BC. CIVA has operated since 1981 raising funds to support projects benefitting the peoples of rural India. Its mandate is to foster self-help and self-reliance through sustainable development and women’s empowerment. CIVA has been collaborating with Seva Mandir since 1986, supporting various projects ranging from Health, Education and sanitation projects.

 

CAPART

CAPART, an autonomous body registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860, is functioning under the aegis of the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India. Today, this agency is a major promoter of rural development in India, assisting over 12,000 voluntary organizations across the country in implementing a wide range of development initiatives.

 

Central Himalayan Rural Action Group (CHIRAG)

CHIRAG is a non-profit grass roots development organisation. It is dedicated to empowerment of rural communities through their integrated development and has been working in the Indian Central Himalayas since 1986.CHIRAG has been supporting Seva Mandir’s Savdesi Khoj Project.

 

Central Societies Welfare Board, Government of India

As a National Organisation, Central Social Welfare Board strives to be recognized as the most progressive entity for providing services of unequivocal excellence to women and children for their protection, capacity building and total empowerment. The Boards has been supporting Seva Mandir’s Short Stay Home (shelter home for women in destitute) for Women since 2004.

 

Charities Aid Foundation (CAF)

The Charities Aid Foundation is a registered charity with an aim of creating greater value for charities and social enterprise.CAF has been supporting the set-ups of rooftop rain water harvesting structures in Delwara of Badgaon block.

 

ChildFund India

ChildFund India is part of ChildFund International, one of the most respected child development and protection organizations in the world. ChildFund helps deprived, excluded and vulnerable children have the capacity to improve their lives and the opportunity to become young adults, parents and leaders, who bring lasting and positive change in their communities. ChildFund International is a non-sectarian charitable organization dedicated to assisting children worldwide. It operates in 31 countries and works with over 15 million children globally.

ChildFund India and Seva Mandir started collaborating in 2009, with the former supporting Seva Mandir’s Trafficking in Person project.

 

Child Line, Government of India

Seva Mandir has been partners with Child Line since 2002. We handle Child Line for the slum areas in Udaipur District.

 

 

Edukans Education

Edukans Foundation supports educational projects in favour of underprivileged children and youngsters in developing countries including India. Since 2007, Edukans Foundation has been supporting Seva Mandir’s education programmes in six out of seven operating blocks.

 

Evangelischer Entwicklungsdienst (EED)

One of the corner stone supports of Seva Mandir, EED has been a partner of Seva Mandir for nearly 25 years. EED is one of Seva Mandir’s key partner in its comprehensive action plan.

 

Fisheries Department, Udaipur, Rajasthan

Fisheries Departmen of Udaipur, Rajasthan is a partner of Seva Mandir for Paaca House for fishermen in Kotra and Jhadol blocks since 2008.

 

Ford Foundation

The Ford Foundation is a private foundation that awards grants to projects focusing on strengthening democratic values, community and economic development, education, media, arts and culture, and human rights. In addition to supporting Seva Mandir’s forestry and agriculture programmes, and recently, the Gram Vikas Funds, the Foundation has also granted heartedly to our Corpus Fund (Endowment Fund).

The friends of Seva Mandir (FSM) is a group registered in UK. It has been supporting various programs of Seva Mandir for many years now. The friends group has raised significant support for the Corpus Fund (Endowment Fund) of Seva Mandir. Donations made to Friends of Seva Mandir, UK are tax deductible for British citizens. Friends of Seva Mandir USA

The friends of Seva Mandir is a group registered with 501 c3 in USA. It was established in 2002. Friends of Seva Mandir USA seeks to raise funds to support Seva Mandir by organizing Events, Employee payroll giving programs and connecting many individual donors and Foundations with Seva Mandir. Donations made to Friends of Seva Mandir, USA are tax deductible for American citizens.

 

Geisse Foundation

Geisse Foundation, a charitable organisation based in Ohio, the United States. It has been funding Seva Mandir’s Dal Mill Programme (Income generation program for tribal farmers) since 2009.

 

Give Foundation

Seva Mandir has had a decade long relationship with the Give Foundation. Through Give Founndation’s website, Seva Mandir raises donations from Indian as well as foreing donors. Seva Mandir has four projects on Give India website including Pasturelnad Development, Building Anicut, Balwadi and Rural School.

 

Global Giving

Global Giving aims to unleash the potential of people around the world to make positive change happen by building an efficient, open, thriving marketplace that connects people who have community and world-changing ideas with people who can support them. Global Giving has been generating grants and donations for Seva Mandir since 2008 through its online portal in the United States and United Kingdom.

 

Goodwill Association of America

Goodwill Association of America is a registered charity. Seva Mandir has been receiving donations from many individulas in America who route their donations through this organization.

 

Hindustan Latex Family Planning Promotion Trust (HLFPPT), Trivandrum, Kerala

HLFPPT as a social enterprise supports implementation of Reproductive Child Health (RCH) and HIV prevnetion and care programmes across eleven states in India. The Trust has been collaborating with Seva Mandir in our HIV/ AIDS programmes since 2008.

 

ICCO and Kerk in Actie

ICCO and Kerk in Actie is an inter-church organisation for development cooperation. Its mission is to work towards a world in which people live in dignity and prosperity, a world where poverty and injustice are no longer present.They have been supporting Seva Mandir for more than two decades. They are one of the key partners in Seva Mandir’s comprehensive action plan.

 

John D. and Catherine MacArthur Foundation

This foundation is a major grant-making private foundation based in Chicago that has awarded more than US$4 billion since its inception in 1978.Since 2002, John D. and Catherine MacArthur Foundation has been supporting our health programmes.

 

MAMTA – SRIJAN, New Delhi

MAMTA is a national level NGO committed to integrated health and development issues in the context of poverty, gender and rights.

 

Monsoon Accessorise Trust

The Trust aims to help improve the lives of disadvantaged women and children in Asia through education, healthcare and income generation projects.Since 2006, the Trust has supported immunization, provided materials for Balwadis and executed a pilot education project in Kotra on migration of children in collaboration with Seva Mandir.

 

National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD)

NABARD is set up as an apex Development Bank with a mandate for facilitating credit flow for promotion and development of agriculture, small-scale industries, cottage and village industries, handicrafts and other rural crafts. It also has the mandate to support all other allied economic activities in rural areas, promote integrated and sustainable rural development and secure prosperity of rural areas.NABARD supports Seva Mandir’s watershed activities in Jabla Village, Girwa Block of Udaipur.

 

National Foundation for India

The National Foundation for India (NFI) is an autonomous, professionally managed trust that works for the disadvantaged communities to help them improve their own lives.With Seva Mandir, NFI has been involved in Delwara, an urban block in which Seva Mandir operates. NFI also acts as a facilitator for the grants that Seva Mandir receives from the R.D. Tata Trust.

 

Panchayati Raj, Government of India

Panchayats, the governing bodies in Indian rural communities, form the basic units of administration at villages, blocks and districts.Panchayati Raj has been sponsoring Seva Mandir’s Dal Mill Programme in Kotra Block, (which?) District from 2008 onwards.

 

Plan International

Plan International, also known as Foster Parents Plan, is a child-centred development charity. It works in 49 countries to provide programs to over 1.5 million children and their families. Plan International also has been supporting Seva Mandir for nearly a decade and it has been one of our institutional partners since 2005. Plan International is one of Seva Mandir’s key partner in its Comprehenstive Action Plan.

 

R. D. Tata Trust

Another very old partner organisation, R. D. Tata Trust has been with us for more than 20 years. In addition to its invovlement in Seva Mandir’s drough relief projects, the Trust also contributes to our Corpus Fund (Endowment Fund).

 

Rejuvenate India Movement (RIM), Bangalore

RIM is a network of individuals and partner NGOs working together for India’s inclusive development through a common action program between voluntary organizations and individuals.RIM lends support to Seva Mandir’s Samaj Shilpi works and recently it is supporting the Vikas Mitra Fellowship program.

 

St. Christopher’s School

St. Christopher’s School, England brings its students to volunteer with Seva Mandir every year. The School has been a partner of Seva Mandir for ten years now. Its aim is to foster an ongoing and mutual relationship that is both culturally and educationally beneficial. Every year eight to ten students (sixteen and seventeen years old) come to Seva Mandir once in December and once in February. It is during these times Seva Mandir holds the seasonal residential learning camps for the working children of remote rural areas. St. Christopher School has been supporting a number of programs of Seva Mandir including eduction of children, contributing to the development of pedagogy material and women’s refuge centre. Target International

Since 1946, Target International has been giving 5% of their income to organisations that support education units and social services. Today it donates more than $3 million each week and hundreds of volunteer hours in communities around the world.Target International has supported Seva Mandir’s residential learning camps in the past. In 2009, it supported Balwadis and a new initiative on girls’ literacy. In 2010 Target is supporting the Balwadi program.

 

The UPS Foundation

The UPS Foundation, a philanthropic program of the United Parcel Service, focuses its financial and non-monetary contributions to organisations that support the changing needs of communities worldwide.The Foundation has supported Seva Mandir’s life irrigation system since 2009.

 

The World Bank

The World Bank is an international financial institution providing leveraged loans to developing countries for capital programs.It has become a partner of Seva Mandir in 2009, supporting the Iron Fortification Program.

 

Undaunted Carnival

The purpose of the foundation is to fund projects that integrate the disciplines of medicine, public health, the social sciences and law to foster innovative approaches for the promotion of health and well-being, and the reduction of disease and For past five years, Undaunted Carnival has supported Seva Mandir’s education programs.

 

United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), New Delhi

UNDP is the United Nation’s global development network, an organisation advocating for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life. The goal of UNDP India is to help improve the lives of the poorest women and men, the marginalized and the disadvantaged in India.UNDP has become a partner of Seva Mandir in 2010, lending its support to various programs.
